Cheap Sword 6
Wakizashi hira-zukuri no-signature
Blade length 43.7cm, thickness at the base 6mm, width 2.8cm
This is a wakizashi blade of hira-zukuri style. It has no signature, but
it shows the typical style of the blades in 15 - 16th century.
Steel has a wood grain layer pattern, But it is not very compact, but rather
rough.
Hamon is made of large particles (nie). And its pattern is very active
gunome pattern with many jumping hamon (tobiyaki). And it includes sweeping
patterns and lightning pattern (kinsuji).
Polishing work is not very good. But it maybe enough to study the blade.
Tang
Habaki is made of silver, Kawagoe style. It is newly made. So it has a
perfect fit with the blade.
